GOLDEN RULE OF GOLD PANNING - CLASSIFY! 

Classify to 300, 200, 150, and 100 Microns and process the individual size groups separately. Pour waste water through a 75 Micron filter and note how much material is caught while the water is dirty vs cleaner. For extremely fine, sub 75 Micron Gold capture, filter waste water through a 75, 50 and 37 Micron sieve. 

 

This is 1 Kilos. Youll need to repan and then a zoom lense to check for the smaller stuff. Example pics are from 3 kilos.
